The knitters list was originally inspired by Sharyn G's Resource page and Lora Kinnan's (www.Daisyknits.com) in the U.S. and has been in operation for a number of years now. Inclusion on the page is free and open to knitters, crochet and design people in the UK.

The postings are, with a little editing, in the contributors' own words. Contact anyone of interest directly, mentioning this website.

Please note: I am not involved in any way other than posting up your details at your request. I have no commercial interest in any arrangements made, nor do I screen respondents to postings. You will be contacted directly by anyone interested in commissioning you and any dealings with potential customers are your responsibility. I check contacts from time to time, so if you find your name has disappeared from the list, it's because I couldn't reach you on the details I currently have.

P.S. Bear in mind that this is a free service I offer to other knitters in a spirit of goodwill.  I operate it in my spare time, which I do not always have very much of.  If you are going to be annoyed that your requests to be added to the list, requests for changes or removal from the list etc. are not carried out as fast as you would like, please consider paying for a service with a commercial provider.

Help with finishing projects
Most people have a wonderfully worked, almost finished knitting, crochet or needlework project lurking in a drawer or cupboard somewhere.  You can post here if you need someone to finish it off for you.  Rita Taylor from Norfolk started the chain with her post for someone to finish a cotton crochet piece, (now finished, I believe!).  Go to the knitters list, then click on the “oddments” tab.
