Using the site
On this site you will find my charted design collections for machine knitting, hand knitting and needlework all listed on the left. You can find full information on each collection by clicking
on the titles on the left, or if you would rather scroll through summaries
of all the designs for a particular craft, click on the craft headings on the left, or on the top navigation bar. To order, click on the link on the top bar.
The designs
The designs are versatile repeating designs which knitters and needleworkers
can use for their own projects. Some of the needlework collections contain instructions for actual projects as well. They can be adapted to any size or
gauge of work.
Design formats
The designs in the knitting collections (hand knitting and machine knitting) are identical designs, but the charts in the respective collections are set out differently for each craft, so it is useful to order the correct format for your craft, unless you are experienced enough at working with charts to interpret the different formats. The designs in the needlework collections are not exactly the same designs as those for knitting and colour is handled differently for stitchwork. If you are a needleworker you would have no trouble in using a design chart laid out for hand knitting, but knitters would find it harder to use the needlework designs.
Computer disks and files
All the knitting design collections are available in Designaknit format (DAK) which can be sent to you on disk or emailed. More details are available on the order form.
